Bio

>>full name>>
aziraphale

>>canon>>
good omens, by terry pratchet & neil gaiman (book)

>>eta>>
just after the apocalypse has been averted.

>>appearance>>
average height, average build (but a little insecure about his weight), minus a pair of wings (slightly disconcerting, that), very well-dressed (even if his fashion sense is stuck somewhere in the 1950s)

>>history>>
aziraphale was an angel, before arriving at hotel california. technically, he was a principality. he was sent to earth as a field agent/covert operative/thwarter of hell's (& crowley's)wiles/promotor of peace & love/rare book salesman

>>personality>>
he is very, very particular about details and, after a few thousand years on earth, he has learned to appreciate the finer things in life. he comes across as highly intelligent and he sounds english. he also comes across as being on the gayer side of sexuality. angels don't, however, really have a gender so this being a male human will try even his intelligence and resolve. aziraphale is polite and very pleasant to most people but he doesn't have boundless patience.

>>inventory>>
  • a first edition of oscar wilde's the picture of dorian gray
  • an umbrella
  • a record player
  • 3 records: pomp & circumstance marches, the dream of gerontius & variations on an original theme (enigma)
  • a collection of daily telegraph crosswords
  • a fountainpen
  • a greatcoat with tartan lining
  • a case of chateauneuf du pape

    >>disclaimer>>
aziraphale isn't mine & never will be, alas. daniel craig isn't mine either but a girl can dream.

{Many people, meeting Aziraphale for the first time, formed three impressions: that he was English, that he was intelligent, and that he was gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide. Two of these were wrong; Heaven is not in England, whatever certain poets may have thought, and angels are sexless unless they really want to make an effort. But he was intelligent. And it was an angelic intelligence which, while not being particularly higher than human intelligence, is much broader and has the advantage of having thousands of years of practice.
